Banned Book Performances in Falvey’s Speakers’ Corner


Who bans books in the U.S.–and what are they so afraid of?

Please join us for a collection of banned book performances by students in COM 3241 Performance of Literature, guided by Dr. Heidi Rose, on Monday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Nov. 1. Performances will take place in Falvey Library’s Speakers’ Corner at 5 p.m. Banned book performances include: The GiverLooking for AlaskaCaste: The Origins of our DiscontentsCatcher in the RyeThe Glass CastleThe Bluest EyeLord of the FliesThe Hate U GiveThe House on Mango StreetNineteen MinutesJunie B JonesAnimal Farm, and To Kill a Mockingbird. These events are sponsored by the Department of Communication and Falvey Library.
