Feedback Friday: Do we speak your language?

Knowing other languages empowers one to travel, to study abroad, or to interact more readily with people from other countries. Should we add new titles that would introduce you to the sight or sound of other languages? Or do we already have what you need?

More movies in foreign languages would be great for students who don’t speak English as a first language, plus it would be great for students who are learning a language, not too mention professors could utilize them in classes.

I am currently learning a new language – the language of written music. I have an old book called Learn to Read Music, by Howard Shanet but would like to listen to a book on CD called Understanding the Fundamentals of Music by Robert Greenberg. This is such a hot item at the public library that I can’t seem to get a copy.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rosetta Stone software. Apparently, it’s used by government and military agencies. Should the library have this in the collection?
