Where is the Washington Post?

You walk into the Library, ready to settle down with the Washington Post for a quick update on the latest political intrigues. However, you quickly note that the newspapers and journals have been moved from their customary spot.

Bill Greene moves the current periodicals collection to the Reference area.
By now you may have noticed that Falvey’s first floor has undergone a number of significant changes in the past months. Academic journals, magazines and newspapers were moved from their previous location to the Reference stacks on the right hand side of the first floor.

The Reference collection was consolidated from seven ranges to four in order to accommodate the periodicals collection. Many of the reference books have been transferred to the main circulating stacks or converted to e-books for wider circulation.

These space adjustments are necessary as Falvey gets ready for the installation of a new state-of-the-art classroom/computer lab in the space formerly occupied by the periodicals browsing shelves.

While we have updated our signage, some confusion will be unavoidable. If you need help locating a journal, newspaper or reference book, please ask us, and we will be happy to find it for you.
