Maximilian, Prince of Wied’s Travels in the Interior of North America, during the years 1832–1834 (London: Ackermann, 1839).

By Jutta Seibert, Director of Research Services & Scholarly Engagement

In collaboration with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Readex assembled a vast collection of digitized primary sources that documents the history of U.S. territories. The collection includes official correspondence and documents, American Indian negotiations and treaties, military records, judicial proceedings, population and financial statistics, and land records. It covers former territories that have since become states and does not include current territories.

Trial access to the Territorial Papers of the United States, 1764-1953 will be available until May 24, 2019. Contact Jutta Seibert (jutta.seibert@villanova.edu) if you would like to recommend this database for purchase.
