During the summer there have been a number of things happening on the second floor. The first thing that happened was the moving of some furniture from the Learning Commons lobby at the second floor entrance to the Dugan Polk Family Reading Room to the third and fourth floors. A storage closet was built in the corner of that lobby and construction will soon begin on a meeting space.
The Mathematics Learning Resource Center moved from its original location (room 211) to a new room (204) just across the hall. Room 211 has been reconfigured and now contains several offices as well as a large open area; it is ready for its new tenants who will move in this month.
And for the benefit of students studying in the second floor lounge adjacent to the research support librarians, a number of new outlets are now available making this area an even better place to study.
