Ann Stango, Access Services specialist, who has spent nearly 27 years at Falvey working with Interlibrary Loan Lending (ILL), retires on July 7. In addition to ILL, Stango occasionally performed other roles such as opening the Library in the morning or taking a shift at the circulation desk. Stango occasionally helped Joanne Quinn, graphic designer, mount exhibits, drawing upon her experience creating window displays for QVC. Stango especially remembers the “Vacationland Reading” exhibit, although she also helped with exhibits for the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and The Glass Castle, a One Book Villanova selection.

Stango received a watch for 25 years of service to Villanova at the 2016 Staff Recognition Dinner. During her many years at Falvey, she has seen lots of changes and anticipates that more are coming.

Although she says working creates a structure for her days, in retirement Stango looks forward to spending more time with her family and four grandchildren. She plans to enjoy her beach house and reading – “more time to do anything I want, when I want, how I want.”

Falvey sends its best wishes for a happy, healthy retirement to Ann Stango!
