There is still time to see this fascinating exhibit, a celebration of the University’s demisemiseptcentennial, in the Presidents’ Lounge in Connelly Center. It is a small exhibit, but filled with treasures that document Villanova’s 175 years of history. The lock and key, all that remain of the Belle Air mansion; the 1793 survey of the property that would later be named Belle Air (now part of the University campus); the first issue of The Villanovan; historic photographs; a 1966 Belle Air yearbook – all of these and more provide a tantalizing view of 175 years of the University’s heritage. The exhibit was curated by Michael Foight, Special Collections and Digital Library coordinator, using memorabilia from the University Archives.
