This year National Library Week is April 9 – 15. National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) which says, “It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries – school, public, academic and special – participate” (ALA website). ALA has been promoting “public awareness of the importance of libraries and library workers” using the theme “Libraries Transform.” Many of Falvey’s librarians are active members of ALA and its various committees and groups; all of Falvey’s staff and librarians are committed to providing the best possible service to our patrons.

Look for a follow up blog tomorrow.
