Did you know—

All University publications, both print and online, adhere to AP style. To be consistent with University publications, Falvey’s online and print publications also adhere to AP style (see FML Style Guidelines).

AP Style evolved so as to fit the maximum amount of words in a space. That goal is the reason for the following:

Sentences—Type only one space between sentences
………………(this guideline also applies to any online writing).

USE YOUR PHONE BY STREETLIGHT

Have you heard of SmartPoles? A new way of boosting network coverage, this space-efficient technology could replace those big cell towers. Using “small cell” technology, little boxes on streetlights provide 4G coverage. The tech is currently being guinea pigged in LA. More coverage with less physical footprint? Sounds like a breakthrough!

QUOTE OF THE DAY

On this day in 1969, “Sesame Street” premiered. Now a cornerstone of educational children programming, “Sesame Street” is the most widely-viewed show of its genre. With puppets designed by Jim Henson, this show is as visually-iconic as it is educationally important for several generations of TV-watching kids. Who could ever forget Big Bird, Cookie Monster, or Elmo?

“Bad days happen to everyone, but when one happens to you, just keep doing your best and never let a bad day make you feel bad about yourself.” – Big Bird

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
