HEY BOOKLOVERS, HAVE YOU DISCOVERED LIT HUB?

Billed as the “go-to daily source for all the news, ideas, and richness of contemporary literary life,” Lit Hub has been live since the beginning of the month and is proving to be one of our favorite sites to visit for book news. The site focuses on literary fiction and nonfiction (no vampire series need apply!) with links, excerpts and original content curated by a partnership of over 70 small presses and publishers, authors, independent booksellers and journals. Updated daily with ‘quick hits’ from around the internet, LitHub will keep you well-informed of the latest literary news. You can thank us later! 🙂

Anyway, we’re adding the following resources, kindly excavated by our “Good Places To Start” Librarian, Sue Ottignon, that will help you answer the question “Why’d they name him/her Arthur Horribilius!?” As you’ll see, the royals can be a bit predictable when it comes to naming offspring!

an impatient lifeTHAT NEW BOOK SMELL: NEW HOLDINGS AT FALVEY

Alan Wald of the International Socialist Review says when referring to An impatient life: a memoir that “[Daniel] Bensaïd crafts each chapter with a painter’s hand, stroke by stroke, offering us musings, vignettes, and reflections that are intricately argued, sometimes speculative, and always subtly insightful.”
