This week sees our Milestone 20,000th item added as well as a host of other diverse items for your research and reading pleasures. Especially noteworthy is a rare Ulster musical song book, Songs of Uladh, which was requested by a scholar for use online and then digitized and added to the collection all within a week. Work continues on the Barry-Hayes collection; description and digitization continues with series 52 this week.
Story Paper issues from the newspaper Happy Days are available due to the ongoing generosity of a digital donor. And as we continue digitization of materials in support of the upcoming anniversary of the Great War, this week brings us the almost complete 1915 and 1916 years of the rare Irish newspaper the Gaelic American: noteworthy coverage includes the sinking of the RMS Lusitania; coverage of the Irish Race Convention; the incarceration and trial of Roger Casement, and the ongoing war in Europe.
