Seniors Selected to Receive Awards for Research in English, Economics, Engineering, Nursing and Astronomy

Falvey Memorial Library invites you to a special event to celebrate this year’s Falvey Scholars, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 29, 2011, on the second floor of the Library. Award recipients will give short presentations on the content and findings of the research involved in the writing of the thesis or creation of the project report. Presentations will be preceded by a reception with refreshments.

This year’s award recipients are Monica Mazzoli (English), Eric Bifolck (Economics), Kristopher Doll (Engineering), Lynz Parker (Nursing) and Ronald Ballouz (Astronomy).

Falvey Scholars is an annual program established by the Library in order to recognize outstanding undergraduate research. Awardees are selected from various disciplines: Arts, Sciences, Engineering, Nursing and Business. It is a collaborative initiative of the Library, the Honors Program, and the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships.

A display on the first floor, created by Joanne Quinn, also highlights this year’s winners and their research.
