I find using Mac’s very frustrating. Their logic escapes me and I find that many programs I use, the Mac version isn’t was well put-together as the PC version.

Also getting help with trouble on a Mac is harder since less people use them.

If you are okay with using only Apple made programs and hardware they work great but if you need to use 3rd party software good luck.

1.) Macs still crash, it just doesn’t have a big intimidating blue screen. If you take care of your PC and don’t do things that will give you viruses your PC probably won’t break. I’ve never had a problem with mine.

2.) You can make art (video/audio) just as easily on a PC as a mac.

3.) Macs are waaaaaaay overpriced. It’s all about the look.

I agree with LC. Macs are more fun, are faster, have less bugs and issues, and also have some great features that make them more efficient to use for both fun/creative and work-related needs. However, there are some compatibility issues, e.g. especially with, for example, a lot of courses such as MIS-related needs in Villanova’s School of Business, and of course the standards of the business world in general.

MAC…just bought one. The school should provide macs to students. They will save money on paying students to work in the Tech Zone since macs don’t break as much. My Dell has been serviced probably 6 times a year since I received it.

Mac for fun, for speed, for creativity, but PC for compatibility with the world at large. I wish it were otherwise.
