When searching for a peer-reviewed journal article it would be great to have one "portal" - all the different options can be a pain, e.g., I just now wanted to get the most recent issue of Biological Bulletin - search the E-journals and . . .
The Biological Bulletin [0006-3185]
Via Gale Cengage Academic OneFile: Full Text
Available from 1994.
Most recent 1 year(s) not available.

Via Highwire Press Free: Full Text
Available from 1897 volume: 1 issue: 1.
Most recent 1 year(s) not available.

etc. (3 more 'options')

I just want to get a copy of a paper - I don't care how or where it comes .

I realize the library is constrained by the systems available to them but as an end-user it can be a bit frustrating (particularly "Most recent 1 year(s) not available")

The library has forwarded your comments about the condition of the library facility and Holy Grounds to the appropriate offices on campus and hopes that improvements will be forthcoming. The comments about a printer in the lounge, 24-hour library availability, and turnstiles have been added to our "to do" list. Also, an HVAC study is currently underway.
We'll keep you posted on our progress!

Oh, also the turnstiles. They are awful. It takes several tries to get the things to accept your card, they hold up the line of traffic, especially if there are people trying to get out or a large tour group is coming through. The entrance is too narrow for turnstiles to be practical. The turn around time is too long as well, meaning you need to wait for a bit after someone has just gone through to slide your card, but this seems to vary.

At Rosemont they use their cards to get into the dorms, but they simply have to flash their card at the gadget next to the door and the door will open. Think of the Paypass at gas stations.

Comment 5 is so true. The temperature in the library is usually pretty brutal. I try to avoid the library as much as possible because of it, or i literally try to bring a change of clothes, which is really inconvenient since i don't live on main campus.

I concur with the above statements and requests.

Please Change the following:

1. Temperature- too hot on most days. We need more fans on the floors and especially in the study rooms.

2. Holy Grounds- Please accept meals.

3. Restrooms- On countless occasions, the ladies room lacked soap and toliet paper...

I definitely agree with the things mentioned above - the horrendous smelling bathrooms which never have soap, the off temperature in the library, and the early hours which the library closes. I like the suggestion that holy grounds should start accepting meals and not just points. Some people spend their whole day there and maybe they could start carrying sandwiches since they have a refrigerator. The big thing though, is that library should be open longer than 12. We are college students and just because they day is over doesn’t mean our work for the day suddenly disappears. It’s hard to finish papers or study for exams when you have to stay in the noisy/crowded 24 lounge or move from one academic building to another after you get kicked out of them by public safety. Where are we supposed to study in peace?

It would be great if the the holy grounds accepted points!!

A printer in the 24 hour lounge would be awesome.

The bathroom on the first floor is always pretty gross, so I would definitely do something to keep that cleaner.

And of course, the temperature thing...

The temperature thing is a must.

another thing, there should be a bigger area to study and the desk really need an update...
the bathrooms need an updating...
pretty much everything needs and updating! haha

They need to have later hours, not just during finals. many people have tests other times of the semester and getting kicked out at 12 is disruptive for a while.

The holy grounds needs to start accepting meals and not just points. many people get a bunch of stuff to take with them so they can study and use that as their meal for that time period.
