Whoops, sorry I overlooked this comment!

For the past month, we had 1,351 unique visitors. The Baldwin Locomotive Works is still in our top 10 most visited pages, as is the Joseph McGarrity Collection (and specifically, the Newspaper subcollection).

We have over 11,500 items in the collection now, and our 10,000 item milestone was only in May! Of course, each "item" varies greatly in size, so one item may be a two-page letter and another may be a 1,000-page book. you can view the live item count here:

"2 considerations?.

-think about implementing comments for individual items if possible

-what about putting the collection (or some of it) on flickr?

Both or either of these may help boost traffic (flickr definitely will) but more importantly, might help accumulate background info and make the individual item more ?knowledge valuable? if such a term is allowed.

(for instance, I went looking for ?Utopia found: an apology for Irish absentees? after seeing an image in the image collection and note that it?s in google books which would be useful to link up with the illustration, particularly because the illustration in the book is folded and only partially legible ??? that?s the sort of useful additional info that would reflect well on the site methinks)

Anyway, glad to hear the numbers trend upwards and if I haven?t mentioned it before (?), the new design is great!"

Haha, I totally agree. Could not have said it better peacay.
