Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure track, to begin Fall 2014
The Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Department (http://www.umass.edu/wost) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise broadly on environmental/ food justice or sustainability including those focusing on climate change, reproduction, or migration. The University of Massachusetts and the Western Massachusetts region have been national leaders in developing research and activist resources in sustainability, food justice, and environmental justice. Qualifications: PhD required by 9/2014 in field of or related to natural, social sciences or humanities, or interdisciplinary work. Ability to teach core Women’s Studies courses; teaching experience required. Annual teaching load: two courses per semester. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
